Moonshadow Cruises and 4WD Tours is an owner operated business that has been based in Port Stephens, NSW since 1981. We have three vessels and seven vehicles to cater for our clients needs, with a wide range of cruises and tours to suit. We have won multiple regional and state tourism awards, including 2004 NSW Tourism Awards for Business Excellence – Tour & Transport Operators.’ With cruises and tours departing everyday, year round and the capacity to carry small to large groups, at affordable rates… we know what is important to you!

Dolphin Watch Cruise A 1.5 hour cruise of Port Stephens Harbour aboard Moonshadow IV or V, with a 99% success rate in sighting dolphins (there are approximately 150 resident bottlenose dolphins that live in the Port). Morning or afternoon tea and boomnet rides are complimentary and we have underwater video cameras on Moonshadow V to see the dolphins underwater. Two departures daily (10:30 & 13:30).

We also offer ‘Moonshadow’s Lunch on the Water,’ as an optional extra before or after your dolphin watch cruise. Served on board the boat, at the marina, lunch includes your choice of Prime Hunter beef, marinated chicken breast, tempura fish fillets and a wide selection of salads, breads, fruits and condiments.

4WD Sandboarding Adventure Explore mainland Australia’s largest sand mass in one of Port Stephens 4WD off road vehicles. We will pick you up from the lower carpark and transport you to the best sandboarding dunes available. Sandboards, instruction and supervision are provided and you can sandboard for as long as you want before being transported down to the beach for pipi catch and release, and then back to the carpark at the end of your dune adventure. Allow 1 hour for this tour, with departures every half hour throughout the day.
